Elder Care began in a little white house on Madison Boulevard in
Bartlesville, OK in 1983. Recognizing a great need in our community
and with a pioneer spirit, our founders saw that the elderly were
often those in greatest need and most often ignored. With only two
part time staff members and a one room office, Elder Care began
serving families and soon found the need to be overwhelming. As
demand for our services grew, so did the supply. Now with over 50
full and part time staff, Elder Care continues to meet the needs
of our community by providing more services for seniors and caregivers
than any other organization in northeast Oklahoma.
Currently, Elder Care's services reach out to Washington, Nowata
and parts of Osage County. Our broad range of programs include;
DayBreak Adult Day Services, Care Management, In-Home Services,
Caregiver Support Group, Resource and Referral Information, Physical
Therapy, the W.R. Bohon Senior Health Clinic and our newest program
for active seniors, Golden Opportunities. Elder Care, due to a grant
from the Donald W. Reynolds foundation, is currently located at
1223 Swan Drive in a brand new, state of the art facility.
