Elder Care's services are insightfully designed to help people 60 years of age and older live active, healthy lifestyles to avoid premature placement in residential living facilities. These services include a geriatric health clinic, physical therapy, adult day health, in-home care and companion services, medical equipment loan, care management and networking opportunities. We also have services to help support caregivers in our community.
W.R. Bohon Senior Health Clinic
If you are over 60, you need a primary physician that specializes in you. Dr. Christopher Taylor has more than 15 years experience in geriatric medicine and helping people just like you through the aging process.
Whether you are healthy and looking for a primary care physician to see yearly, or if you have complex medical and social issues, Elder Care’s W.R. Bohon Senior Health Clinic is your source for medical care.
Physical Therapy Clinic
Just like choosing a pharmacy where you have your prescriptions filled, choosing a physical therapy clinic is also your choice. If your physician prescribes physical therapy, choose excellence and ask for Elder Care.
Our clients enjoy reaching their therapy goals in an inviting, friendly and relaxed atmosphere with compassionate therapists who specialize in the physical needs of mature adults.
DayBreak Adult Day Health Center
DayBreak provides social interaction and therapeutic activities for adults with various levels of physical and cognitive ability who need supervised care in a safe environment during the week.
Each day is filled with activities designed to stimulate minds and boost self-esteem. Nutritious meals and snacks are served and can be tailored to dietary needs. Transportation may also be available for participants each week day.
In-Home and Companion Services
Elder Care provides companion services to mature adults. Companions help ensure the basic needs of your loved one are met.
Each care plan is customized based on the individual’s needs and can be one hour a week or 24-hour companion care.
Golden Opportunities
Golden Opportunities is a social network that enhances the lives of active mature adults. It offers fitness and educational classes, social events and day trips perfect for any budget. Stop by, spread your horizons and see why everyone is smiling when they join Golden Opportunities.
Care Management
Encouraging independence is important to Elder Care and the people we support. Our care managers act as service coordinators, advocates and advisors who help mature adults maintain independence and enjoy safe, comfortable living conditions in the home as long as possible. Care Management services can offer guidance, develop a care plan and supervise an elderly person’s care.
Caregiver Support Group
Being a caregiver can be physically and emotionally draining. Our support group offers practical information in a nurturing environment. We can also provide care for your loved one during the meeting in our DayBreak program without charge. Please make arrangements for your loved in advance of the meeting by calling 918-336-8500.
Medical Equipment Loan
Need a living aid such as a cane, walker, wheelchair or shower bench? Elder Care loans living aids for no charge for as long as you need it. We simply ask that you return it when you are done using it so that we can help someone else. If you have medical equipment that is no longer needed, donate it to Elder Care. Donations are tax deductible.
Cool Room Project
Throughout the heat of the summer months, Elder Care loans air conditioners to mature adults in need of relief during this time. Young Professionals of Bartlesville help Elder Care continue the project each year with an annual Christmas in July fundraiser to purchase new air conditioners so that we can continue to meet the needs of the community.
Volunteer
Elder Care provides a wide range of services with the help of dedicated volunteers who donate their time to helping mature adults. They help with light office work such as answering phones, copying and envelope stuffing, as well as transportation to those who no longer drive. Other fun opportunities include special events, arts and crafts and interacting with DayBreak clients by playing pool, dominos or sharing a conversation.
Join the fun; volunteer and help a mature adult in your community.
